MEET JANE

Jane Scobey, also known as Jane Scobey Sammons, has been painting portraits for over twenty years. Committed to constantly perfecting her work, she has studied with some of the great Masters of our time, including Al Beyer, Daniel Green, Raymond Everett Kinstler, and Nelson Shanks.

Jane brings to her painting more than her training as a portrait artist, however. She also brings life experience, exuberance, commitment, and a love of people. Her portraits go beyond technical skill and reflect an understanding of her subject's personality and character.

A portrait is an investment which is passed on from generation to generation. It captures more than a physical likeness. A portrait should suggest something about what a person has experienced, cared about, and hoped for.

Portrait artist Jane Scobey lives in Annapolis, Maryland, and shares her time between her portrait clients in Maryland and Huntsville, Alabama.
